The one where we made do...
Yesterday we fashioned ourselves fabric masks using this tutorial and the clapped out old Janome - still no light, capable only of a stuttering kind of straight stitch and now unable to reverse either.
This mask was fashioned from a pair of long outgrown shorts which had the benefit of cutting down the sewing required (because I fussy cut using the existing seamed legs for the filter pocket). We also used old pillow cases and a couple of colourful fat quarters I found languishing in a bag deep in the back of the linen press.
We cranked the heating up, and dragged everything out into the family room to work together - it was nice.

It's weird, but it is nice, these family moments
ReplyDeleteIt feels odd yes - all these now grown up bodies being so close all the time. Strange times indeed x
DeleteLove the colour coordination happening. Still can't believe how fast the time has gone. Your Prince.
ReplyDeleteThe Prince - what a champ x
DeleteToday's fashion, who'd of thought! And your grown up boy x
ReplyDeleteI know - sporting his COVID-19 haircut too x
DeleteIt's strange - whilst we are all stuck here together, we inevitably all end up gravitating to the same room.
ReplyDeleteI think it's comforting - for everyone x
